Australian Standards & Codes of Practice

Where the regulations or manufacturer’s manual is silent on any aspect, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice can provide guidance on safe use and compliance with the general duty of care.

For example, AS 2550.1: 2011 Crane, Hoists and Winches – Safe Use Part 1: General Requirements offers guidance on inspection and maintenance frequencies, if more frequent checks are not specified by regulation or the manufacturer.

KEEPING YOU COMPLIANT WITH AS1418

Stay compliant with the Australian Standards 1418.

These standards have been in place since 2002, and we have been dedicated to keeping up with these regulations ever since. AS 1418 deals with the General Requirements for Cranes, Hoists, and Winches.

The AS 1418 requirements include, but are not limited to the following rules:

Any routine maintenance service cannot exceed three (3) monthly intervals.

At the beginning of each working shift, a visual inspection must be done. Equipment must be inspected before it is operated.

A log book will be kept of each inspection

Our experts study this criteria to help business owners and their employees meet compliance requirements.

As the industry continues to update these regulations, we will maintain their integrity to the fullest extent.

We are always updated on the latest compliance so your business can always operate safely and effectively
